Project Description

Establishing a reputation as capable, efficient and trustworthy paid off for Morven when the Town of Greater Napanee selected them for this project. The decision was based on Morven’s experience, project execution and overall value. With that expectation, the team delivered on all fronts.

This project, completed between April and October of 2021, included the full reconstruction of three municipal streets - East St., Mill St., and Graham St. within the Town of Napanee. In addition to clearing and grubbing, Morven also replaced the roadway asphalt, concrete curb and sidewalk.

In addition, the team needed to excavate rock using hydraulic breakers to replace over 500 metres of sanitary and storm sewers. To facilitate the least disruption to the citizens, temporary water systems were installed for all streets while 660 metres of watermain and residential water services were replaced.

The watermain and storm sewer replacements for East and Mill Streets were completed in phases to avoid any water service disruption to the Town’s only water treatment plant and isolation of a major utility station. Further to the street and sewer work, Morven repaired and repointed a significant masonry wall and stairs and installed a new railing.
